Many energy storage battery companies were selected

In August 2015, in order to strengthen the management of the lithium-ion battery industry and guide the transformation and upgrading of the industry, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Lithium-ion Battery Industry Standard Conditions" (referred to as the "standard conditions"), which set a "threshold" for the production scale of enterprises: including The annual production capacity of batteries is not less than 100 million watt-hours; the annual production capacity of cathode materials is not less than 2,000 tons; the annual production capacity of anode materials is not less than 2,000 tons; the annual production capacity of separators is not less than 20 million square meters; the annual production capacity of electrolyte is not less than 2,000 Tons, the electrolyte production capacity is not less than 500 tons. The actual output of the previous year at the time of the enterprise declaration shall not be less than 50% of the actual production capacity.
On April 17, 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of companies that meet the "Lithium-ion Battery Industry Standards and Conditions" (the first batch), and 8 companies were selected. Among them, Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was selected as the only energy storage battery company.
It is worth noting that in the second batch of companies list, the number of energy storage battery companies exceeds that of consumer battery companies. According to industry analysts, this is closely related to the rapid development of new energy vehicles.
According to data from the China Automobile Association, in 2017, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 794,000 and 777,000 respectively, a year-on-year increase of 53.8% and 53.3% respectively. With the further development of the new energy automobile industry, the proportion of energy storage batteries will further increase.
Lithium-ion battery technology has made a breakthrough
Recently, many companies have made breakthroughs in lithium-ion battery-related technologies.
Lanxiao Technology announced on January 15 that the Qinghai Lenghu 100t/a lithium carbonate project undertaken by the company and Shaanxi Membrane Separation Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. has completed the production line commissioning and has produced high-purity lithium carbonate. The success of this project indicates that the company has realized the industrialization of the core technology of the salt lake brine lithium extraction adsorbent, process and system equipment. The company stated that the industrialization of lithium extraction technology by adsorption method is one of the new important growth points of the company's metal sector and a good start for the company's application and expansion in the new energy field.
Jiangte Electric recently said in an institutional survey that the company's lithium carbonate production line currently has a daily output of more than 10 tons, and the new production line is planned to be completed in the first half of this year. The cost of extracting lithium carbonate from the company's lepidolite is about 70,000 yuan per ton, and there are more than 10 battery-grade lithium carbonate users. With the commissioning of the company's mining and beneficiation projects and the gradual release of lithium carbonate production capacity, it is expected that the mining industry will account for the largest proportion of the annual performance in 2018.
Analysts related to the power equipment industry told the China Securities Journal that the downstream new energy vehicle subsidies have fallen, and the upstream lithium and cobalt costs have risen, and the midstream battery cell industry has been squeezed. The breakthrough in the technology of extracting lithium from the salt lake will ease the tight supply of raw materials to a certain extent.
